Bodhinatha Meets With Guests

“Pandit Ramesh Rajamani visited for the first time. He is the head priest of the Hindu Temple of Dayton (http://www.daytontemple.org/) in Ohio, USA. He has wanted to visit for a long time ever since he first heard about our late Gurudeva in 1973 when he was studying at a Vedic pathasala in Chennai. Now he had the opportunity because he was conducting a Hindu wedding on another Hawaiian island. He really likes Kauai Aadheenam and had a special tour of Iraivan Temple, meeting the silpis, seeing the rajagopuram construction up close on the roof.”

END OF PHASE
Today is the last day of our phase.
This edition of TAKA will remain posted
over our coming three-day retreat,
until Dvitya Tithi, Sun One, Tuesday, January 13th.

Subha Varma & Kishore Pathial with their two sons Gautam and Kapil visited for the second time. Gautam wrote an opinion article for Hinduism Today a few years ago. The family also started a fund at Hindu Heritage Endowment call the Kerala Temple Trust (click to contribute) which provides for upkeep of temples in Kerala. The family has been strong members of the Chinmaya Mission for many years.

Rev. Mira Sai Ma and her student visited from California for the first time. She is a devotee of Sathya Sai Baba and Shirdi Sai Baba, and opened her own center in San Jose. They had a wonderful pilgrimage here for a week, seeing Iraivan temple, performing abhishekam to the Narmada Sivalingam, doing Wailua Ganga Sadhana, walking down San Marga path and meditating at the Swayambhu Lingam there.
