Gurudeva went to a photo studio in Malaysia in 1981 to take some shots that would one day become classic.
We were looking at the high-res version of the photo recently and imagined that some people would love to have a close-up of Gurudeva's blissful expression and samadhi eyes. Click here or on the photo to download it.

He had the most perfect figure, because he was a god in human form. He was the embodiment of Shiva. Once a while he descends on this earth to help in our human evolution. Those who have seen him have indeed seen shiva.
"Stand strong for Saivism." The nature of life for Saivites is to turn work into worship, to turn the secular into the sacred. Each day give a little extra warmth, humanness and upliftment to others. Every day is a holy day, all day long. We want to follow our religion even in our dreams. If we help someone, we're worshiping. Wherever we are, that's a place of worship. "To the Saivite Hindu all of life is sacred. All of life is religion."
