President Obama's Diwali Message
While this does not relate to events at Kauai Aadheenam it feels like a sort of fulfillment of our mission, because it marks such a huge recognition of Hinduism on the map of mainstream America and we wanted to share it with you.
In an historic first, President Obama invited Hindus to the White House and celebrated with them Diwali. In this YouTube video you can hear him speak of Diwali, its importance and meaning and then light a ghee lamp while a Hindu priest chants a Sanskrit sloka.

Om Namasivaya!
Thank you for sharing the Diwali YouTube video and the celebration at the White House! Hinduism is gradually making its way into mainstream America and worldwide, thanks to the excellent work done by the Kauai Aadheenam monks and messages such as this from President Obama! Well done!
