Siddhidata Kulam finishes the rain gutter today

The monks finished mixing and pouring the concrete for the two hundred feet of rain gutter on the temple roof today.

Potriyan helps carry the cement to the roof. Yoginathaswami directs him where to put it. Durvasa Alahan was also on hand to help complete the job.

Here you can see one of the crocodile shaped rain spouts. The water from the rain gutter shoots out of its mouth when it rains heavily.

Tour Day At the Aadheenam

Today more than 50 curious souls made a reservation to explore Kauai Aadheenam and see for themselves the wonders of Iraivan starting at the feet of the Nepalese Lord Ganesha.

But later, by the end of the morning the monks counted 200 hundred people who came and left the property today!

This beautifully attired lady, Barbara from Calgary Canada, was an inspiration to have with us this morning.

These two fine gentlemen work on the cruise ships that frequent Kauai and are orginally from Northern India. They couldn’t resist the Siva Puja and then said they would catch up to the tour group.

Here is Kulamata Isani Alahan giving an inspired description of the 18,000 pound silent Siva Guru, Dakshinamurthi under the banyan tree.

Barely able to squeeze into one frame, here are the pilgrims who came from Georgia, Oregon, California, Iowa, Florida, Texas, Utah, and many from Canada.

This charming couple from the cruise ship, orginally from Bangalore, were very suprised to find a Hindu Temple and Monastery in the jungles of Kauai.
