We started a new phase today with a special homa that bring two long time Master Course students into Hinduism.
Toshadeva Guhan and his wife Kamala, having completed their Level Two Master Course study, and legal name change have today received their Namakarana Samskara in Kadavul. Paramacharya Ceyonswami explains that they should read out the vows and pledge before the sacred fire and the congregation of devotees.
Toshadeva reads his pledge.
Then Kamala, who is behind the blazing heat of the homa.
They write their names out on the tray of rice…
Bodhinatha passes it over the fire.
He signs their certificates, which you can read below.
We welcome the Guhans into our worldwide Saiva Family!
Bodhinatha gave a short insightful Sun One talk referring to the quote of his description of Deepavali that is making it’s rounds on the internet…. =
Congratulations to the lovely couple, whom I had acquainted on my pilgrimage to Kauai Aadheenam in 2005 with a group of about 10 devotees from Malaysia.I met them daily at the Kadavul,Suvyambu Lingam & during the many rites & rituals near Iraivan. They were courteous & had a ready, warm smile each time I met them.Aum Sivaya
Jai Ganesa!!! Heartfelt congrats to you both. Our son Vanore is so inspired by Toshadeva as he kept telling me throughout the Mahasamadhi Observances. Yes! it was wonderful to be in the company of two such gentle souls so full of devotion. You are both fine examples of Hindu refinement ,committment ,and humility that we should all emulate. Thank you dear Guhan family, Toshadeva and Kamala. Congratulations again from our family.
Heartiest congratulations to Guhans for joining the family of Sanaadhana Dharma orSiva Maarkkam.
By the way, I do most humbly request the Certificate printers to correct the Tamil version of’Naamakarana’ with a three loop ‘na’ instead of two loop ‘na’ at the end of the word ‘Naamakarana.
That is the Tamil spelling tradition. Please check with some Tamil scholars as
well.
