Bodhinatha Mauritius Visit 2010-Spiritual Park

His Holiness Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami continues His visit in Mauritius. This morning Bodhinatha visited the Goodlands Siva Soopramaniar Temple on his way to the Spiritual Park. It was a very short courtesy visit.

The Goodlands Siva Soopramaniar Temple is a saivite temple newly reconstructed according to saiva agamic traditions.

Then Bodhinatha proceeded inside the temple where the priest conducted an arati to Lord Ganesha, Lord Muruga and Lord Siva. Here is Bodhinatha in front of the Muruga Shrine.

The president of the Temple, Mr. K. Cunioosamy welcomed Bodhinatha and asked His Holiness to say a few words to the devotees present. Bodhinatha reminded them having once come to their old temple a few years ago to give samaya diksha a few sishyas of Mauritius. A traditional shawl is then offered to Bodhinatha by the temple management.

From Goodlands, Bodhinatha drove to the Spiritual Park of Mauritius. A large crowd was already waiting there to welcome the Guru at the main entrance.

Soon after arriving at the Park, Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami met the Kulapatis, the elders responsible for the management and good maintenance of the Park. They had a meeting regarding the affairs of the park Meanwhile Acharya Arumugaswami and Sadhaka Nandinatha, went around for a visit of the premises.

After the meeting with the kulapatis, Bodhinatha came down the gravel path towards the Ganesha Mandapam.

The tent outside was filled up with an attentive group. Bodhinatha's talk on that day was on Happiness.

Devotees listened carefully to what Bodhinatha was saying about how the individual can be really happy in his life.

Hearing the teachings of the Guru from the Guru Himself is powerfully mystical to the ears of the devotee.

Jai Bodhinatha!

The last part of the event was the signing of books. Hundreds queued up to have their newly purchased Himalayan Academy publication signed by Bodhinatha, while bhajans were aired live.

Everyone waited patiently to come close to the Guru. After this event Bodhinatha drove to Flacq for a satsanga with the members.
