Bodhinatha in India

Bodhinatha is in transit to Delhi today… Yesterday he was hosted by Swami Avdeshananda, the Hindu of the Year and spiritual head of tens of thousands of sadhus.

Bodhinatha was immersed in a sea of these sadhus at Haridwar as he had his kumbhamela bath on one of the “minor” bathing days — the auspicious day of Ram Navami.

Here he is with Swami Bua from New York. Satsang with our brother sadhus is always a precious confluence of souls dedicated to Liberation.

Marvelous Photos of Gurudeva

This beautiful photo of Gurudeva was unearthed from our photo archives.

New Phase Begins

Our phase began with homa today, Paramacharya Palaniswami presiding.

Palaniswami gave an overview of Bodhinatha’s reception in India and continued today with his theme on the confluence of science with Saiva Siddhanta. As scientists continue to investigate the nature of things they are coming to some core realizations: there is no separability between things; time does not always go from past to future, consciousness affects nature; the apparently inert universe is aware of us.

Good-Bye Jnana Dana Container

Years ago after the last Hurricane, Gurudeva was inspired to get giant shipping containers to serve as storage facilities. It was a smart, inexpensive and efficient way to provide for our storage needs quickly and effectively without making huge committments to building construction. We still have many of them.

With the new Minimela Information center now serving to hold a lot of publications inventory on the second floor, we retired this container. He was dubbed “Jnana dana Container” because he held all the literature that we gave away for free. Today we say “Sionara, Goodbye” to this old, portable, “Knowledge Giving” warehouse.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
