Tour Day

A six day phase brought an unusual two public tours in one week. A very large group numbering close to one hundred enjoyed a tour of the gardens, Iraivan Temple and an opportunity to meet Bodhinatha.

Blooms are everywhere as spring is bursting out all over.

Introducing our Innersearch Staff

Innersearch Kauai 2010 is coming up in just one month. It begins June 12 and will go until June 21. We have 54 wonderful seekers from eight countries signed up for the program. Our monastic staff for the program has gotten to know the participants well, because we have read all the details they provided in their applications, but they don't necessarily know us. So, we pulled out the camera, took some photos and put together some information about the staff and each of our roles so that our Innersearchers could get to know us a little bit, too, prior to next month's program.

Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami is the Guru Mahasannidhanam of Kauai's Hindu Monastery. As the successor to Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami, whom we affectionately call Gurudeva, Bodhinatha is the inspiration and guide behind this Innersearch program, as well as its principal teacher.

The monastic staff of the program, whom you will meet below, comprises the Ganapati Kulam, one of the five family groups of Kauai's Hindu Monastery. The Ganapati Kulam is primarily responsible for all aspects of the monastery's media outreach programs, including the design, writing, editing and production of Hinduism Today magazine, all books and pamphlets, websites, audio and video programs and other digital applications. We hope you enjoy the creative and somewhat humorous Innersearch role identities.

Paramacharya Palaniswami, who arranged the very first Innersearch program for Gurudeva in 1968 and has led the staff of all 21 programs since then, is our Innersearch CEO. He is the inspiration behind the design of most of our teaching materials, including Bodhinatha's exotic Keynote presentations. Palaniswami will teach a couple of the classes during the program.

Acharya Kumarswami is our Innersearch CKO (Chief Knowledge Officer), responsible for assisting Bodhinatha with the conception and development of the Innersearch teaching program, including the design and editing of all study materials. Kumarswami will teach a couple of the classes during the program.

Acharya Arumugaswami is our Innersearch CFO, responsible for overseeing the program budgets and accounting. Arumugaswami will teach one or two classes during the program.

Sannyasin Sivakatirswami is our Innersearch CIO (Chief Information Officer), responsible for setting up informational web pages, providing the staff with vital information on the participants, supervising the production of the study guide, creating special Innersearch reports for the monastery's TAKA blog throughout the program and coordinating the capture and filing of all photos, video and audio recordings of the program.

Sannyasin Senthilnathaswami is our Innersearch COO (Chief Operating Officer), responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the Innersearch, including the entire program schedule; all classes and activities; meals and accommodations; relationships and plans with the hotel, the mountain camp, restaurants and caterers; supervising the tour logistics coordinator and island-resident volunteers; conducting outings and events; communicating vital program information to participants and answering questions and inquiries from applicants and enrolled participants.

Sadhaka Satyanatha is our Innersearch Assistant COO, helping Senthilnathaswami with all aspects of program preparation and coordination, plus photography, videography and audio recording throughout the program.

Kailash Dhaksinamurthi is our tour logistics manager, coordinating with the many service vendors (hotel, camp, restaurants, caterers, transportation, helicopter and cruise operators) prior to and during the program, administering all payments and participant accounts and taking care of the logistical needs of the participants, including booking travel and hotel accommodations. Kailash is the director of Search Beyond Adventures, a professional tour operator with offices across the US mainland, and is a long-time member of Saiva Siddhanta Church.
