Spiritual Park Mauritius-July Ganesha Homa

The spiritual vibration and huge attendance at the July Ganesha Homa at the Spiritual Park of Mauritius is in itself an inspiring reference of the Hindu population fervent spirit of worship in this island. A variety of flowers and garlands adorn Lord Pancha Mukha Ganapati for this special day!

Suddenly taken by surprise by our TAKA photographer, this very young lady was not sure whether to smile or be serious, while her parents are happily participating in our bajans.

During the first arati to the Lord Ganapati all devotees stand up ….

That's Heavy Stuff! ( a belated post from June)

Some 12 years back Gurudeva and Palaniswami were on a train in Tamil Nadu, and beside us sat two men with a Black Box in their laps. After some hours, they engaged us in conversation and in turn we asked about the curious box they were handling so gingerly. They explained they were scientists traveling the entire globe mapping the gravitational field of the Earth, and the box contained sensitive technology that could read tiny gravitational anomalies. Then they shared this: they had just taken measurements at Chidambaram temple, and were amazed that those were the highest readings they had seen in any nation. Yesterday, the BBC reported on a study which was probably not related to the two men above, but was a similar survey, performed this time by a special satellite. This second study confirmed that train conversation, showing the most dense gravity on the Earth to be centered in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka! See the topographical map below. What does this mean? Well, physically it could imply a magma deposit in the earth below that area. Spiritually, we note that Chidambaram is the Saivite's Center of the Universe, and it may relate to Siva's abode there. For our Paramparai, Yogaswami's hut in Columbuthurai is near the epicenter of the deep blue that defines this remarkable finding. Perhaps historically Saivites were lead to this special space, Muruga's home, Siva's home, knowing intuitively that there was something unique here. Or??? Whatever the explanation, it is a fascinating discovery that we knew would tweak your curiosity. Want to learn more about this? Go here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/8767763.stm
