The Pillaiyar Kulam gave it’s report today. Shanmuganathswami is working on his plans for travel that will take Bodhinatha an himself to Maryland, Chicago, Trinidad, Guyana and St. Lucius later in August. Muruganathaswami reports a rise in orders on the web. New subscribers to Hinduism Today and very interesting book purchases. Someone in Puerto Rico ordered 12 copies of The Power of Affirmation. Another man in Texas ordered 15 copies of What is Hinduism. Gurudeva’s publications’ mission is working!

Kauai Members Help Local Ahimsa Program

Gurudeva will be happy to know that his initiative to “Stop the War in the Home” among his sishya is being carried on. A few days ago, Kulamata Amala Seyon and Kulapati Vel Alahan attended a Domestic Violence Training Conference held here on Kauai.

The Seminar was developed by the Reverend Al Miles. Here he is showing a copy of his book “Domestic Violence. What Every Pastor Needs to Know.”

Natchinthanai Classes at Sri Subramuniya Kottam

A teacher, well trained in Pannisai, Selvi Sivayogarani, has begun teaching the Kottam children. First they will learn the songs from the Natchinthanai book created by Kauai Aadheenam, and then they will continue learning additional songs.

Before beginning the classes, the children had Kauai Aadheenam’s song book blessed at the Sivathondan Nilayam in Jaffna.

Guru Purnima Mauritius- Part One 2010

Sishyas of Mauritius gathered at the Spiritual Park to celebrate Guru Purnima to lovingly honor Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami and humbly rededicate themselves at His Holy Feet. A special Guru altar was set at one part of the Ganesha Mandapam for this auspicious occasion. We are posting a first series of photos for this event.

Everyone is immersed in the worship of the Guru during the pada puja.

Sishyas consisting mainly of our members and Master Course students made it all the way to the Park.

Meanwhile outside a bus of visitors just arrived with lots of kids happily running down the property. They were being directed to worship at the small Ganesha shrine…

During the silent pada puja everyone's mind was o the Guru.

Guru Purnima celebration is always a special event for the sishyas. Unlike Ganesha Homa days with all its bustle of activities and large crowds, the Guru puja days are always being observed with discretion and deep faith.

Jai Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami!

Loving offerings placed at the Holy Tiruvadi.

Sheets of the 108 names were distributed among the group and devotees are getting ready to chant the holy names of their Guru. We shall be posting the next photos of the event in coming TAKA. Till then…Aum.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
