Bodhinatha in Trinidad

Bodhinatha and Shanmuganathaswami continue a dynamic stay in Trinidad. No news today, so they are probably very busy. They will be there through Sunday and then fly to Guyana on Monday.

Meanwhile we are continuing to catch up Bodhinatha’s upadesha’s and have extracted talks from his innersearch classes. The following are now online.

Book mark his audio index to return for more later.

Garden Island Arts Council Visits

Deva Seyon and his grand-daughter Basanti hosted a special group today. They are the Board of Directors of the Garden Island Arts Council (all volunteers who guide the introduction of art to our island, including such things as having handicapped children paint their crutches artfully).

Their president, Carol Yotsuda, is probably the most well known artist on the island of Kaua’i and one of the most respected in the state of Hawai’i and elsewhere; Carole is officially designated as a Living Treasure for Kaua’i and for the state of Hawai’i. Anne O’Malley was there as a journalist from the Garden Island newspaper.

They were especially eager to see the extraordinary spiritual artwork that the monastery has commissioned, and Palaniswami took some time to share S. Rajam’s amazing work and stories with them.

Thomas Kelly's Friends Visit

Our Hinduism Today photographer in Nepal, Thomas Kelly, has close friends who lived there for 27 years. Brian and Judy Hollander visited today from their home in Alaska, where they are helping the natives with health care. The daughter, Sonja, on the right, just graduated from naturopathy medical school. They were delighted to visit the temple and the Hinduism Today team.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
