Here is a departure shot of Bodhinatha leaving the Aadheenam a few days ago. He and Senthilnathaswami are doing well. The have spent the last few days at the Hindu Temple anniversary celebrations in San Antonio Texas.
“Om Sivaya Everyone,
Today was the final day of the anniversary celebration. We were at the temple from 11:20 Am to 2:30 PM. Before arriving there we had a stop at Dr. Ramakrishna Rao’s. He is gifting a Ganesha murti to the Honolulu group who wrote to us. We did a puja to for this murthi.
The keynote at the temple was on prayer and meditation. Much larger group in attendance including many youth. The youth seemed to respond particularly well to the presentation.
The letter "Ya" in the Panchakshara Mantra, Namasivaya, stands for the soul. Bodhinatha uses the Panchakshara Mantra to show how the soul is initially drawn by Siva's veiling grace, which leads the soul to maturity through experience in the world. Then comes Siva's revealing grace. When we've had enough of the world, Siva's grace pulls us toward God. The mantra also has the simple, two-syllable form. Si- Reflecting on God the Transcendent Absolute, Va-God as the All Pervading Consciousness
