Our kuthumba was gathered at Kulapathi Manogaran and Kulamatha Selvom home yesterday 26 May 2011 for a wonderful satsang. Here Jayendra is deeply immersed during the silent pada puja.
Everyone present sang some Natchintanai songs and some more bhajans.
The puja room was nicely decorated and one can feel the pleasant vibration inside.Gurudeva is truly here…24/24 still living with us. Aum.
Anne Sumandiren Peruman guided all members in the Sivachaitanya Panchatantra meditation experiencing Nada,Jyoti,Prana,Sakti and Darsana. After the meditation, we all participated in the Siva Homam.
It was an important part of the Satsang. We had a powerful homam !!!

Images from the Home of Chellappaswami
Chellappaswami, Yogaswami’s guru, spent much of his life sleeping outside the Nallur temple at the Theravadi, or the “chariot shed.” This chariot shed has been renovated and beautified. We bring you today pictures from there as well as from Chellappaswami’s mahasamadhi shrine where his ashes are interred.
Chellappaa Swamigal Nilaivaalayam
Above his shrine are inscribed the four Mahavakyam, great sayings of Chellappaswami
Oru Pollaappumillai -- There is no evil
Eppavoh Mudeentha Kaariyam -- It was all determined long ago.
Naamariyohm -- We Know Not
Muluthum Unmai -- All is Truth
Yesterday's Tour Day
As our new enlarged parking area was opened today so we expanded our reservations a little and our guests were all so happy we did. Teachers, restaurant owners, engineers, musicians, and nurses to name a few.
The Albezia trees are in full bloom. The monks have to be on constant lookout for the kikis of this fast growing, prehistoric looking tree. They look magnificent but are classed as an invasive species in the state of Hawaii.
They can reach 20 feet their first year, heading for 60 feet and the crown of the Albizia can be so broad as to shade over half an acre completely crowding out native species.
We have several bee hives at the Aadheenam and the bees are really working hard to harvest all the nectar from these blossoms.
Rudraksha season is light and late this year. We were a little bit concerned as this year we had a very big wind storm as the trees were flowering. Fortunately we still see “green” fruits coming -- so not to worry.
Up to this point the Wailua Mission still have a large supply of Rudraksha malas and other Rudraksha items in our Mini Mela.
A bird in the hand
Sannyasin Muruganathaswami reports on this avian lost child:
Hungry little chick looking for his parents. He was on the floor of the EZ-Go and showed absolutely no fear, easily getting on my finger.
Do you have food for me?
So sad, you don't.
Oh, well. I'll just rest here for awhile.
Off to a small branch to wait for parents. He was't too excited about shifting positions, but he cooperated.

Bodhinatha's Latest Upadesha: "Detachment from Experiences; Importance of Daily Vigil" (May 5, 2013)
All experiences are good experiences, necessary to get us here. Awareness of aspects of ourselves that are constantly changing is a liberating perception, breaking our chains to mundane areas, detaching from instinctive and intellectual to go into superconscious. The greatest challenge facing youth today is the lack of relating to the devotional side of Hinduism. Daily practice, daily vigil, moves us forward spiritually. Commentary on Merging with Siva, The Master Course, Lesson 21.
