Iraivan's Polished Avudaiyar
The detail work on Iraivan’s Avudaiyar, the pedestal that will hold the Maha Spatika Lingam, is nearly done and the whole piece was polished.
The photos may be misleading. This is not a small table top brass piece. It is much bigger than you think!
Avudayar is about three feet tall. It’s main circular part is 3 feet, 10.5 inches in diameter.
With the spout it is 4 feet, 9 7/8 inches wide and weighs 4,600 kilogram or 10,141.26 pounds.

Bodhinatha's Latest Upadesha: "Detachment from Experiences; Importance of Daily Vigil" (May 5, 2013)
All experiences are good experiences, necessary to get us here. Awareness of aspects of ourselves that are constantly changing is a liberating perception, breaking our chains to mundane areas, detaching from instinctive and intellectual to go into superconscious. The greatest challenge facing youth today is the lack of relating to the devotional side of Hinduism. Daily practice, daily vigil, moves us forward spiritually. Commentary on Merging with Siva, The Master Course, Lesson 21.

Om Namasivaya! Absolutely stunning and one of a kind in the world! When the Maha Spatika Lingam is installed in the Avudaiyar the power and sight will be amazing! Lucky are the Hindus all over the world that their religion/traditions/Vedas/mantras/agamas are all protected/promoted and kept strongly alive by the Kauai Hindu Monastery Monks and Satguru Bodhinatha. Thank you all the Monks for your dedicated outstanding work!
