Darshan with Bodhinatha

Dr. Jagmohan and Neelam Aggarwal are visiting for the first time from Liberty, Missouri, (just north of Kansas City) only a few miles from where Hinduism Today magazine is printed.

They have been subscribers for 25 years and have all those past issues safely stored in their home. They are very happy to finally visit the source of the wealth of news and wisdom they have received for so many years.

Haran Talbert and his wife Dolores see Bodhinatha before going back home to California. Haran is actively pursuing the Master Course study. This is Dolores’s first time at the Aadheenam.

Tour Day

Sunny skies and gentle trade winds transported our guests to the devaloka today. So many kind words of thankful words of praise to our monastics for creating heaven on earth!

Last weeks tour were also a very inwardly quiet group. They moved easily from one stop to the next with deep appreciation and respect for what is being created on the garden island.

We want to give a huge thank you to Easan and Sundari Katir who flew to Kauai from the Silicon Valley for two weeks, giving many personal tours to the many Hindus who visit us during the holiday season.

Homa – The Fire

Today is Sun One and our photographer captures images of Agni, the Fiery Messenger.

Senthilnathaswami is the homa priest today.

Great Progress at the River Shore in Mauritius

Giant platform at the river by our property in Mauritius is nearly complete, with a wooden railing installed.

Railing protects crowds from falling, but devotees will still be able to get water to take up to bath the Sivalingam.

Now it is time to fill all these areas with sand and gravel. But how to get a truck down here?

Ingenious solution! A giant tarpaulin is laid down on the stairs.

Trucks unload on the stairs….

Then this beautiful white crushed coral flows down to the base.

drainage grates along the edges of separating supports for the material to come.

From here we are facing nearly due east. It is amazing to watch the sun rise over the azure blue ocean. You have to go there to actually see the incredible arrays of blue shades on display.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
