Busy Darshan Day

Patel family had darshan with Bodhinatha as their pilgrimage winds toward a close.

END OF PHASE
Today is the last day of our phase.
This edition of TAKA will remain posted
over our coming two-day retreat,
until Dvitiya Tithi, Sun One, Sunday, July 31st.

On this Ardra abhishekam day, several Gujarati families arrived toward the end of the morning. The man in the right behind the two boys is Shailesh Patel, who drove Bodhinatha four months ago to the BAPS temple in Houston, Texas.

Karthik and his wife

Everyone had a great time visiting Iraivan on this sunny day.

Hugging rudraksha trees.

Hanapepe Senior Citizens Tour

A few days ago a group of senior citizens from west side town of Hanapepe came for a visit.

Hanapepe is on the dry side of Kauai and our visitors enjoyed the lush greenery of the East Side of Kauai…

Word of the Day

Join Bodhinatha in Maryland

&nbsp

Bodhinatha leaves for an east coast trip on August 2nd. He will be going to Trinidad, Guyana and then joining the devotees in Maryland for part of the Nallur Murugan temple festival.

For all our East Coast US devotees and friends, you may want to join Bodhinatha at the Murugan temple in August. Make a note on your calendar and contact the temple for details.

Iraivan's Nandi Mandapam Kondugai

Selvanathan Sthapati recently visited the worksite and he drew some exceptional ornamental designs. Here is the one for the kodungai stone -the sun shade stone of the Nandi Mandapam which he is working on.

Here is the final drawing.

Here is where it goes. To the left is the design he drew in his last visit for which he felt there was much scope of improvement and the one on the right is the final.

This are rough visual sketches done by Selvanathan Sthapati. This goes at the corners of the Kodungai stones.

The top view of the area of the new design addition. You can see a top section of a bird here roughly drawn.

And that’s our kili (parrot) design in its final form waiting for Bodhinatha's comments and approval.

Archives are now available through 2001. Light colored days have no posts. 1998-2001 coming later.
