Chisel Sharpener

Holly Young has sent these photos of the third silpi memorial wax, showing Manikandan (remember him?) sharpening a red-hot chisel. It's so charming how she captured his cloth wrapped up as a cushion, and everything else for that matter. Such a gift she has.

Holly has completed the molds for this one and they are now in Colorado ready to be poured.

yes, I remember Mani well……Holly’s sculptures are so beautifully defined and articulated, also not losing the overall balance of the whole view. CONGRATULATIONS to Holly and the Monastery…..beautiful work we can all enjoy, remembering very DEVOTED souls in their life’s process. I have always SO appreciated the ways the Temple works so skillfully with artists, recognizing individual skills and knowing, and how they can be engaged in the overall path of growth there. What a marvel of means! Aum Namah Sivaya, Leonora
