A Letter from BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha

The letter reads:

Respected Satguru Shri Bodhinatha Veylanswami and Swamijis,

Aum namah Sivaya. Jay Swaminarayan. BAPS Swaminaryan Sanstha wished to express its deepest gratitude in your hosting our group of Swamis, including Pujya Bhadresdas Swami, in your ashram in Kauai. Ever since the historic meeting between HH Pramukh Swami Maharaj and Satguru Sivaya Subramuniaswami in Mumbai in 1995 and his subsequent visit to Sarangpur, our two sampradayas have always been close. Your distinguished organization and talented swamis are offering tremendous service to preserve Sanatan Dharma and to educate the world about its rich values and traditions. Indeed, our mandirs and its activities are aimed at the same purpose. Bhagwan Swaminarayan and our guru parampara have also stressed righteous living and scholarly pursuits in preserving Sanatan Dharma.

With this thought in mind and to express the deep bond between our organizations, we have sent one of our most scholarly Swamis. So, on the occasion of their visit to your ashram, we would like to present to you something of great value to us: a treasure of wisdom that helps nourish our ancient traditins. BAPS Swaminarayan Santha would like to present to you the Swaminarayan Bhashyam (commentaries on the Prasthan-trayi--the Upanishads, Shrimad Bhagwad Gita and Brahmasutras), classically authored by Pujya Bhadreshdas Swami in the traditional language of Sanskrit. We sincerely hope that you accept this as a token of our love and respect for all of you, and as a bridge between our two sampradayas.

We offer our prayers to Bhagwan Swaminarayan and to all of the deities and gurus for your well-being and for the further advancement of your esteemed organization.

Sincerely,
Sadhu Ishwarcharandas
