After months of planning and coordination between Kauai's monks and Mauritius' many members, kulapati's and kulamata's, the Innersearch was finally ready to begin with its traditional Crow's Nest reception. As Innersearchers flooded into the Hotel's conference hall, they were greeted with garlands and gifts, which included their unique study guides. For this year's program the study guides have upgraded from books to iBooks. Each participant has received a new iPad mini to guide them through the program, record their moments and hold their class notes.
To start of the evening, Saravananathaswami performed a short Ganesha puja then introduced Senthilanathaswami, the evening's MC. Swami welcomed the participant's and gave them a short overview of the coming adventures together. Bodhinatha then gave a short talk, welcoming everyone and ending with an inspired description of Hinduism. He stated that unlike other religions, which look toward what will happen in the future, Hinduism is a religion of the moment, of keeping awareness here, right Now. Sadasivanathaswami then welcomed everyone, followed by the three Sadhakas who each gave short welcomes and demonstrations. Rajanatha introduced himself and gave reminded everyone that, though Innersearch can be challenging, it is when we are challenged that we make the most spiritual progress. Mayuranatha introduced our quad copter, which we plan to use at the spiritual park and Jayanatha gave a quick introduction to the iPad and how to use the new study guide.
Following the Introductions, the group adjourned to the restaurant for dinner and a stunning performance by the Canagasaby sisters, who sang Yogaswami's Natchintanai beautifully.

Wishing the Innersearchers 2014 a tech savy experience of a sacred inward journey on their pilgrimage to Mauritius. With Bodhinatha and the Monks of the Tamil Shaivite Church ,guiding the blessed group, I am sure it will be an unforgettable and rewarding experience to the participants and the hosts. Only if the music of the Canagasabi sisters can be shared with the virtual devotees of the monastry, we can partake in the Natchintanai chants and play it for my Rangoon born 90 year old mother in Chennai , whose only daily utterence is Om Nama Sivaya.
Thank you Bodhinatha , for taking us on the virtual piligrimage -another breed of Innersearchers 2014
we are really blessed to have among us great souls during these days. the meeting with the PARAMA GURU Bodinatha , the swamis and Sadakas and the team of Hinduism Today magazine was very informative and we learnt so many things in quite a short time through the talks, presentation, film and questions and answers session at Henessy park, and today at Grand Bassin with the consecration of MURUGA by our beloved Satguru.
Bodhinatha's Latest Upadeshas: "Not Getting Upset, Viewing Reaction from Higher Faculties" (September 14, 2014)
A measure of how serious we are in making spiritual progress is that we've learned the lesson from experience. Develop the ability to watch the mind think, understand the patterns of emotional action and reaction. Have the sense that you are a divine being to root out imperfections. Becoming upset is a temporary suspension of our higher faculties; transmute the energy into the third eye.

"Eight Features of the Natha Sampradaya" (September 17, 2014)
We have to discover that part of us that is the Self. One of the important benefits of temple worship is it softens the ego. Recognize and love a Being greater than us, building humility. Go to Lord Murugan; His worship strengthens the kundalini. There's a power in learning through listening, shruti, that which is heard. Tradition, sadhana and tapas, informs, inspires, awakens potential.
