Longan Season!

Some Photos of one of the monastery's Longan Trees. These delicious little fruit are quite sweet with a melon-like flavor. Each year we see a lot, but this year is especially abundant.

Aum sivaya, make a quick trip before the season is over! (smile)

  4. Raj says:

Only one tree is it? (seriously asking to plan a trip)

    Wow! Yummmmyyyyy…..:)

  6. Yoginathaswami says:

Raj: We have five trees. Lucky you they don’t ripen all once. Three trees are at its prime production right now. The other two may last until late September–if you are lucky! Aum

I thought it was ‘langsat’ at first glance. We have to go the Chinese
grocery to buy our tropical fruits. The star fruit is suppose to
be good for hypertension. Durian and mangosteen are my favourite.

“Yummy, yummy, yummy, I got eyeballs in my tummy!” Ha! Just jokin’!
After you peel them, you look at them, and, they kinda look like eyeballs!! Same size, too! But, you won’t care what they look like, because, they taste sooo very sweeeet!! : ))
