Certificate of Excellence

Kauai's Hindu Monastery recently received Trip Advisor's Certificate of Excellence. This certificate is based on the reviews of visitors. They have overwhelmingly given the monastery high ratings as a nice place to visit.

The only negative reviews appear to be from people who couldn't find the place. Here are a few of the positive 5-star reviews:

http://www.himalayanacademy.com/blog/taka/2015/05/19/certificate-of-excellence/ This was a completely different experience for us. I was never exposed to the Hindu faith before this visit. I have a great deal of respect for the faith as a result as the basic values mirror those of my own faith. Our time there was both educational and serene. We especially enjoyed the banyan tree meditation area and the beauty of the temple and the view of the river valley. We all wore the provided sarongs as we wore shorts that day. It was raining, but it only added to the experience.
Would recommend this highly! They are only open in the morning.

As an indian I was intrigued. But I was blown away. The monks were super approachable. Very calming. So indian yet so kauai. Very surprised that one monk spoke tamil. Great temple. Very authentic. A must place to visit if you're seeking peace of mind. It calms you down. Follow GPS and you will get there.

Once I discovered Kauai's Hindu Monastery I never wanted to leave. The 9am service every morning was concrete on my schedule. This is a very special and spiritual place, so much so that you feel your spirit connected to the whole.

If you visit Kauai and feel you need a retreat for your spirit please attend one of their ceremonies. It is sure to quiet your mind and ego and put you in touch with your soul. The grounds are very sacred and you will feel beyond love. It was a mystical and magical experience.

If anything, sign up for their email. The Master Course, Lessons of the Day, etc. are sure to educate you and give your mind things to think about on a spiritual course.

Satguru's Travels – Seattle and Victoria

Last night in Seattle, Satguru and our traveling swamis held a small satsang in their hotel. About 12 people attended and Satguru gave an interesting talk about the many multifaceted aspects of Hinduism. Good questions were asked and answered and the video about the creation of Iraivan was then played.

After a short flight from Seattle to Victoria, the Pillay family greeted the swami's at the airport. After a 20 minute drive they arrived at The Empress hotel. If it sounds like it's an ancient English hotel, that because that's exactly what it looks like! It was built in 1906. A special spot.
