Up UP and Away!

Paramacharya Sadasivanathaswami and Natyam Rajanatha has successfully made their way to San Diego. On their long flight to the mainland they were able to get a lot of work done, including refining presentations that will be given at events along the way. Rajanatha sends us a few photos from their flight.

For Those Who Love Sushi

What do you get when you combine 7 cups of brown rice, 40 sheets of Nori, a slew of fresh vegetables and a group of hungry monks? Lots and lots of Sushi, that's what. Recently one of our monks has been rolling a festive variety of vegetarian sushi, a delicious, fresh and healthy meal thoroughly enjoyed by all. If you're in the Sushi making spirit, it's a pretty simple but beautiful way to eat. All you need is a big pack of Nori (seaweed) some cooked, short grain, brown rice (with rice vinegar added) and as many fresh veggies as you can muster. These rolls include home-made tofu, ripe Kauai avocados, carrot, green onions, tomato, bell peppers, sprouts, celery, cucumber and sesame seeds, and of course, wasabi!
