Bodhinatha Talks About Preparing for Death

Satguru Bodhinatha Veylanswami

Bodhinatha’s Latest Upadeshas – Commentaries on Path to Siva
How Do We Prepare For Death? , Lesson 34 (November 12,2017)

For our “Great Departure” we prefer to be at home in a religious, uplifting environment, in a clear minded high state of consciousness, having resolved all differences and fulfilled all obligations. There is nothing to fear: “Death is a blissful, light filled transition.” We then get settled in the inner worlds with like-minded people of similar religious beliefs.

Path To Siva, Lesson 34.

Satguru Bodhinatha’s Analysis is really Commendable!
In fact, Our Paramaguru Yogaswami too, explained
the same in a Nut Shell, based on the following:
“Ellaam Epavo Mudintha Kaariyam”……..”It was ALL accomplished long. long ago”
    “Muluthum Unmai” ……………”ALL is Truth”
    Aum Siva, Siva! Aum Shanthi!

    Vanakkam my dearest Satguru,
Thank You for this talk. Not everyone is blessed with dying in his home. Some die in the hospital. If a Christian is dying in a hospital, his minister from his Church visits him and “prepares” him for his departure. On the other hand, Hindus do not have this service provided by a Swami. Here in the US, what we do is, some of us visit the dying person and sing Thevaram and Thiruvasakam, especially Sivapuranam; often sing silently in our mind. Is there any way You can help us to do this in a nice way so that the immediate relatives of the dying person would welcome this last religious service and prayer?
    With love,
