Our Destination

Innersearch is a time to leave behind your usual life for a while and take flight to a far corner of the world, this time to one of the most extraordinaty and geographically remote places on Earth - a vast island-continent-nation with endless, sun-drenched horizons, the most beautiful beaches and friendliest mates in the world! We are talking, mates, about Australia - the great southern land.

Our journey begins in Sydney, a cosmopolitan city bordered by the Blue Mountains to the west and the pristine Pacific Ocean to the east. Here, we will invoke the blessings of Lord Muruga when we visit His Aussie abode and spend the evening with Him and the local Hindu community. The following day we will explore the sites, including the Harbour Bridge and Opera House for which Sydney is so famous. After two days in Sydney, we head north to Dooralong, nestled in the Australian Outback, where we will live in forest-protected Colonial-style log cabins for 4 nights on a 360-acre resort, spending our days in precious classes with Bodhinatha, with the opportunity to possibly meet koalas and kangaroos, throw a boomerang and perhaps even go on a walkabout. Days of enjoying each other and Innersearching.

Then an early morning departure back to Sydney where we will board our flight to Queenstown, New Zealand, via Christchurch. We take the legendary two-hour drive to Te Anau, our home for the next four nights, located in the heart of the mighty Southern Alps. One day will see us take a scenic drive to Milford Sound and then cruise the spectacular fiords of New Zealand's south island.

Then it's back to Queenstown and a flight to Wellington, capital city, at the southern end of the north island. After a night here, we board "The Overlander" for one of the most spectacular train rides on Earth, a day through the New Zealand countryside all the way to Auckland, "City of Sails." Our journey ends here, in the country's most vibrant city. We will connect with the Hindu community of Auckland and visit Muruga's temple which Gurudeva helped get started. Just as we began with Murugan's darshan in Sydney, we end with His shakti in Auckland. The following day, we fly home.
