Our Destinations

Day 1-3, Jan 15-17: Cambodia
Our adventure begins in Siem Reap. Nestled between paddy fields, this small town is home to the world’s largest temple, Angkor Wat, where we will glimpse the grandeur of Hinduism’s past among millennia-old ruins of the Khmer Empire.

Day 4-7, Jan 18-21: Langkawi Island
Then it’s off to four undisturbed days in a village-style resort perched on the shores of Langkawi, a gorgeous tropical island just off the shores of the Malaysia-Thailand border. Steeped in mystery and legend, it was once a hideaway for pirates. Here Bodhinatha will begin his classes, unfolding the dynamics of meditation and inner life.

Day 8-9, Jan 22-23: Kuala Lumpur
Our contemplative retreat ends and we make our way south to Malaysia’s capital, Kuala Lumpur. Here, at the famed Batu Caves, with its awesome 140-foot-tall golden Murugan statue, we join a million devotion-drenched lovers of Lord Murugan in a Thai Pusam celebration parallel to none.

Day 10-12, Jan 24-26: Tiruvannamalai, South India
A morning flight takes us to South India, where we will be whisked away to the sacred town of Tiruvannamalai. Here we worship in the town’s famed Siva temple and walk the holy path around Arunachala hill.

Day 13-14, Jan 27-28: Rameswaram Island
No journey in India is complete without a train ride—a cultural experience in itself of sights and smells, chaiwallahs and crowded railway stations as we wind our way to the fishing village island of Rameswaram. Here we will worship and bathe in 22 sacred wells at Lord Siva’s 1,000-pillared citadel, one of the world’s most shakti-filled and architecturally rich temples, participate in a homa, a 1,008 silver kumbha abhishegam and puja in the temple and visit Kailas Ashram.

Day 15, Jan 29: Tiruchendur
We continue south to Tiruchendur, Lord Murugan’s heart-melting seaside temple for a grand homa and puja just for us.

Day 16, Jan 30: Kanyakumari
At India’s southern most tip, where three oceans meet, we visit the Kumari Amman temple, the Vivekananda memorial and India’s 133-foot-tall statue of Saint Tiruvalluvar.

Day 17-21, Jan 31-Feb 4: Kovalam
We journey northwest to the lush state of Kerala, where life is gentle and relaxed, settling down for gem-like moments of reflection, study and excursion amidst intricate waterways, lush surroundings and beautiful beaches.
