	First they went to Nallur Kandaswami Temple. The lawyer suggested that they get down there and worship before seeing Swami. It was almost 6 o’clock, he said, and the puja would start in a few minutes. They disembarked, washed mouth, feet and hands, and went into the temple. In 1949 devotees of the temple could worship closer to the sanctum than one can now. In those days you stand very close to the puja as it was being performed. The three men stood just outside the sanctum for the ceremony, consumed in the intensity of the darshan.  Inside, the young seeker had a vision of Yogaswami who appeared within the sanctum.
