Purvaprostapada Nakshatra

AQ 20 to PI 3-20; Ruler: Jupiter; Dosha: Vata
Purva-prostapada means "The Burning Pair"
Astronomical Constellation: Beta Pegasi
This star conveys the ideas: to chastise, impetuous, active, hot, passionate, to undergo penance. Purva-prostapada (also called purvabhadra) is a ugra and krura energy star, which translates as harsh, powerful, hot, formidable and fierce. Because this star tends to stir the mind in one way or another, it is not an auspicious day to begin something new. Its influence may cause the mind to be passionate, unstable and impetuous. Today is a good time for repenting and penance. Devotees with this as their birth star are eccentric, rebellious, wealthy, clever in executing work, have good business skills and often make very fine speakers.
