10) Iraivan Temple's First Stone

Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami (front left) with Sri Ganapati Sthapati (front center), India's foremost temple architect, at the laying of the first stone of Iraivan Temple upon the monolithic 120 foot by 60 foot by four-foot thick concrete foundation. 22) Virginia City Monastery

In 1962, Satguru Sivaya Subramuniyaswami purchased the Old Nevada Brewery in Virginia City, Nevada, and renovated it as a monastery and printing facility. The brewery was a favorite spot for local newspaper editor, Mark Twain, in the late 1800s.
