August 25, 1998	A special day, indeed! Today is Ganesha Chaturthi, celebrated by millions of Hindus around the globe. At the morning homa, Gurudeva said, "Our prayers today are to Lord Ganesha on His birthday are to give us a present of Iraivan Temple so we can one day celebrate His birthday there, around the homa between the giant granite pillars. We pray also for the long life of our noble master architect, V. Ganapati Stapathi, and of Tiru Chidambaram, the many silpi craftsmen and everyone who is working to manifest this sacred home of Siva."
