November 01, 1998	The spirit of the day is the mission of the mathavasis to serve the complex needs of the members around the world. Gurudeva spoke beautifully of the way the monks and family members interact and help one another in so many ways, in many dimensions he said. The members have proven themselves so beautifully and yet they must also continue each day, never let up, never get lax in their service and sadhanas. Gurudeva read from the Vedas: That part of Him which is characterized by tamas is called Rudra. That part of Him which belongs to rajas is Brahma. That part of Him which belongs to sattva is Vishnu.
