The spirit of the day is the wonderful news of dynamic missions and activities on several fronts. Gurudeva's Sun One talk to all the members and mathavasis was a time for news, testimony and sharing. First he elucidated to the members his current efforts to assist with the county of Kauai's "Coalition for Drug Free Hawaii" where he is having the mathavasi doing research on the drug problem, which he will used in his talks that will go on an audio CD for use by the Coalition. He addressed the New Age group of drug users and gave sad testimony on those he knew who had gotten on the path of using drugs. "Now they have a body, emotions, but no mind. Now, after using drugs they have to go to a psychiatrist who gives them more drugs, uppers if they are down and downers if they are up, having lost all motivation for a career or to accomplish anything.. . .a useless part of society. If we are to have a New Age, this isn't it, because for a New Age we need people with brains." "Henceforth being pure, clean,

void, tranquil, breathless,

selfless, endless, undecaying,

steadfast, eternal, unborn,

independent, he abides

in his own greatness."
