The spirit of the day is sharing. Gurudeva explained, "While we all live here in the monastery with many things, yet they are not our things, we don't own them, we also don't own our time, we share everything we have others. We offer our time to help each other. And so we are not bound." The Vedas tell us:

"Mind is indeed the source of bondage

and also the source of liberation.

To be bound to things of this world:

this is bondage.

To be free from them:

this is liberation."
