"All my followers must endeavor to be the
best
in whatever they do, excel and make a difference.
However, they should remain apart from the
demeaning and contentious "winners and losers"
spirit of competition. Aum"
Gurudeva
Everyone is looking forward to receiving several sannyasis and brahmacharis
from Ma Jaya Bhagavati's ashram in Florida. Here Brahmachari Markandeya is working
on some welcome surprises. Today's happenings page, in the absence of much happenings,
takes a light-hearted look at ourselves.
Our dynamic fund-raising duo, Sadhaka Thondunatha (left) and Yogi Tapodhana
(below) are back at Kauai Aadheenam having raised over $135,000.00 in cash and
pledge for the Iraivan Temple Foundation. Here Sadhaka Thondunatha gazes at our
Island Temple color magazine, which never ceases to amaze him, day after day.
"I just can't believe it, its so beautiful!"
This is Yogi Tapodhana, visually glued to his screen.
This little fat feline is perhaps the most contented creature we have ever known.
Swarna is his name and unlike the other small cats who are all very active,
he's a little lazy and loves nothing better than to sack out on your chair.
The perfect picture of "I'm all right, right now."
Here and there around Aadheenam, we are blessed with beauty that Gurudeva has
brought into our lives. Here is a wooden carved Nataraja in the courtyard.
Sivanadiyar Nilakantha is helping in the Ganapati Kulam for a few days. This
morning he was working on sorting 100's of photos take at the Kumbha Mela.
After sometime sorting photos (grin) we caught Nilakantha, ever happy and bright.
.this shot has a typical photo phenomena that we face at the Hinduism Today
offices. . . "false red eye."
