Gurudeva
Mrs. Leimomi Mo'okini Lum is priestess of the Hawaiian religion. Her family
of kahunas (Hawaiian priests) had traditionally been in charge of the KU temples
of the island of Kauai. The Kadavul Siva temple is built on the same land that
was once a Hawaiian Ku temple. She is actively working to preserve the traditional
Hawaiian spiritual culture. Gurudeva has been very support of her work in the
community and she in turn is very happy to know that Hindu monks have become
the guardians of the sacred land of her ancestors. Today she is visiting from
her home in Honolulu.
