Peace in the world of the devas. Peace in the world of the Gods. Peace here, there, everywhere. It's a blessed and blissful Sun 3 at Kauai Aadheenam. Gurudeva met with the editorial team for a couple of hours on the next issue of the magazine, helping guide us to serve our brothers and sisters. Gurudeva and the editorial team made a call to Mr. Nautam Ravaul in London who is our sevak in the UK, and we all coordinated his various duties. He is a retired professional, and has given his considerable skills to the task of reporting and distributing the Hinduism Today magazine in the UK. great job, Mr. Ravaul. We pround to have you on our global team! Then in the late morning he met with the four talaivars who guide the monastery (Yogi Yuganatha is missing in the photo, out working on the grounds.)
Today's guests....are very special people. Mr. and Mrs Venkataraman Balu. They were here in 1987 last, and we are delighted they returned. He is the president of the Buffalo Hindu Temple in New York. Our young photographer, Jivananda, went around the monastery about 9am looking for Jyothi Sendan who is here picking flowers for the Future Fair that the island is holding lthis weekend. He and wife Vasuki are volunteering with the floral decorations, and the monastery is contributing hundreds and hundreds of tropical flowers for the cause....helping the people who are helping the people of our island to discover and live their highest vision.
Well, he didn't find Jyothi, but enroute he captured on his camera three unfolding water lilies that we thought you would enjoy for today's horticultural glimpse.
He also did some creative experimentation. No, Meenakshi, that is not a mistake. It's a digital piece of art, a special effect. Ready for the canvas of the Museum of Modern Art.
Yesterday we showed a photo but the caption was misplaced. So we offer a second look at Kumar Katir, here working on the trees for a full dayÕs TaskForce. Good work, Kumar! Thanks for setting a positive example of working hard and getting things done!
