The spirit of the day is a Shum word, Amtyavum. It means to finish each and everything your undertake well, fully, without leaving any loose ends or details left unattended. Gurudeva read from the holy Yajur Veda:

Truth is the Supreme,

the Supreme is Truth.

Through Truth men never fall

from the heavenly world,

because Truth belongs to the saints.

Therefore, they rejoice in Truth.
