SWAMINI IN HOLLAND IS OK!
Sri Swami Sivananda Hridayananda Saraswati, Mataji, did not die. Mataji (84) is recovering from a heart attack she suffered on the 20th of June. After three days in Intensive Care, she did not want to stay in the hospital, telling one of the disciples "I'm going in your car", and returned to the Ashram, where she was nursed day and night by disciples and devotees. Mataji's condition is improving. Today, the 8th of September, we all joyously celebrated and shared the 111th Birthday of Sri Gurudev, Swami Sivananda!

MALAYSIAN TEAM REALLY DOING A GREAT JOB!
We had just finished an Iraivan temple fund-raising show on 8th. August 1998 at Klang with the blessing of Your Holiness. We had only 3 weeks to to sell the tickets as we had to go through a lot of offices to get the relevent documents. We were very fortunate to have Mr. Allabas, the co-organizer who did these jobs. But the biggest headache was how to sell the tickets especially when our country is facing a bad economic period. I had all tickets gathered after the tax-stamping and had a small meeting. I distributed the tickets to the Kepong mission members and students and some to Petaling Jaya and Klang missions. At first we the sale was very poor as most were citing financial problems. Later we were able to push the tickets and collected some money. The turnout for the show was about 2/3rd of the hall and we have some who will pay late. We managed to collect about 7000 plus ringgit and after minusing the expenses we have MR.4700+ inclusive of MR.364 from sale of food and drinks. One of the sponsors had not paid and also there are some money to be collected which will be sent later. All the Malaysian Kulapatis and extended families were busy looking after guests and serving at the counters. We had Dohadeva and Family and Thanabalan and Family From Singapore and Sg.Petani missions respectively who came to boost moral support.
