ANCIENT CONNECTIONS BETWEEN HAWAII AND INDIA.
Mystic seers say that the ancient realm of Lemuria once stretched from India all the way to what is now the west coast of the USA. As the continents drifted and the oceans rose Lemurian sectors were cut off from each other. The Hawaian islands would have been ancient mountain tops of of Lemuria with present day India, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Australia, Fiji and New Zealand, all comprising "Lemuria West" of ancient times. Summary of a paper which was presented at a recent Hindu conference in Los Angles:
THE POLYNESIANS--A LINK TO THE PREHISTORIC INDIA A number of researchers are working on the origin of Polynesian people. Archaeologists and linguists are using sophisticated tools of science, including DNA, to racially place the origin of these people. However, the modern Polynesian population is so racially mixed that it will not be easy to determine their original racial origin. Modern science of DNA from the point of view of mitochondria only sheds light on the origin of the people by the genetic makeup of the female. What about the origin of most of the men, who mostly migrated one place to another without a large group of their women? In fact prehistoric navigators of the Southern Seas would be all men! Their are two current theories about origin of Polynesians. One theory states that their original homeland was Southern China making them to be of Mongolian origin. The other theory states that their original homeland was South Asi, which is India and beyond. The Polynesians brought with them the rudiments of early Neolithic culture such as astronomy, navigation skills, a rich oral literature of chants, boat building and a well organized early class or caste structure in their society. In view of all of the above theories, I have noticed prehistoric connection with India. This paper will point in the direction of archaic Vedic beginning. The studies have drawn on the work of specialists from various scientific disciplines such as anthropology, archaeology. Linguistics, botany, and literary comparisons. I have used oral knowledge from my ancestors and my late-distinguished father who had a working knowledge of languages especially in the area of South and Southeast Asia.
BANGALORE, INDIA: We continue with more interviews from the stone craftsmen who are working at the Iraivan temple carving site about 11 miles outside of Bangalore.
Mahalingam says:
Chelliah (Tumkur) says: "I have never worked in a single place for more than 3 months. I have been here for 2 years now. I am indebted to this temple and thank the Manager for his help when I was ill. The management is very concern for us. Gurudeva has said we should not hit our children. I used to do that but now by talking sweetly and caringly to my son he is listening better than when I was hitting him. There's not a single day Gurudeva's name is not thought or mentioned by the silpis. We believe He is always with us when we are working. Through Gurudeva's grace I have gained so much in my life working here. At times I used to wonder about Gurudeva even though He is far away in an island. I am grateful the work brought us together. There are plenty of learning opportunity here to uplift ourselves in our work through keen observation and practice. The young apperentice will benefit working here. In my experience this is the only place where salary is paid on time no matter what happens."
Anandh (strong and good at rough cutting) says:
Loges says: "This place keeps me in touch with spiritual life, I feel secure. In the past 4 years I have gained more bhakti and peace. The management provides many benefits. We in return, are also working sincerely. We are happy with the working conditions. We are reminded not to beat children and explanation is given for that. In my entire service I have not seen any other finer work than this. Born and bred in Karnataka I am happy to learn this trade which is more prominent amongsts the Tamils. I am blessed. I also feel indebted to Gurudeva, perhaps something about my past life, now I am doing this service for Him. I have seen many Swamis and Gurus but when I saw Gurudeva is was a different feeling altogether. It is a very special experience for me. I have had many offers to work elsewhere but just can't bring myself to leave this place. I have dreamt of Gurudeva and seen his face. It was so radiant. After working here, my mind wonders less during the day. Even when it does it doesn't get distracted far. We are all working as a team and very close. We require nothing. As long as Gurudeva blesses us we would be happy. Whatever we get above that of course would make us happier! If we complete this work it would give us much more peace. I feel like I'm resolving my past karmas if I complete this temple project." Send your input to: |
