It's Sun 1 at Kauai's Hindu monastery.
And that means a blessed homa, fire ceremony.
The members and monks mingled afterwards,
talking about the many dynamic things they
are each engaged in, and just enjoying
one another's presence and conversation
Jai Ganesha! Wonderful fire ceremony this morning before dawn, beseeching Lord hanuman to carry Iraivan Temple from India to Kauai.
Gurudeva's talk after the homa focused on family, living in harmony, working in concert and unity. Jivananda took a photo of the church families after the homa, all smiling there in front of the 108 Tandava murthis in Kadavul temple.
Gurudeva also noted that Vijay Sankara is moving his family to Callifornia for a while, and will depart tomorrow from Lihue. Chandra and Easan will follow later. Bon voyage, Vijay and Chandra!
He greeted Aran and Valli Sendan who are here for a week from California, Sadhunathan and Dhanya Nadesan (pictured at left) who are here for their annual 2-month Skanda Shashti working sojourn, and noted that the Dandapani family will arrive on the island in a few more hours. "We should have a party," Gurudeva said.
Then Gurudeva had a meeting with our visitor from India, Chandrabapu about his great vision of supporting several key institutions in his nation.
[Pink Bougenvilla in fullness of bloom near the temple.] Gurudeva said many wonderful things this morning, among them:
"Don't be content to just have faith in your own future. Children do that. As adults, you need to develop a plan, a personal and family vision, and then work hard at that plan. Then the future will work out well.
As the families mature in working together in active unity, all the karmas will come up to be worked out. It is no accident that you each chose this family to be in this birth. Work on your vision together, and don't be discouraged if your vision does not manifest immediately. Keep working on it. Even if it takes years, don't worry. Just keep being persistent.
[That's the amazing Banyan Tree just outside Kadavul temple entry.]
The future comes from up down, from your superconsciousness. But to have that happen in the highest way, you have to keep your subconscious mind fluid, not allowing it to collect a lot of dross. Do that by performing vasana daha tantra, at least twice a month. Keep the subconscious mind clear so the superconscious can work through the subconscious."

Gurudeva mentioned about the Vision Kauai meeting, but since that is on his voice upadesha today we will not repeat it here. Have a blissful day everyone. Stay in the light, in the love-evoking center of All.
[Our last photo today is of the Mini Mela, our bookstore at the entry to the property, where all kinds of wonderful artifacts and puja items and such can be purchased.]
