Jai Ganesha and welcome to Kauai's Electronic Ashram. It's a sunny Polynesian day, Sun 3 today, and here Gurudeva is sharing some precious moments in the Guru Peedam with visitors to our island. They hail from Gujarat in India, and this is the parents first ever trip to America. The little boy's mom and dad hae settled in San Jose, California.

Family portrait in from of Kadavul Temple. Behind them is one of our many Bilva Trees, Aegel marmelos, sacred to Lord Siva, its leaves offered in holy rites.

Karma Yoga is an important service for all members and their children. This young man, Kumar Katir, has been working hard in selflessly cleaning the monastery paths for the last couple of days. It is important, since the rains of late have been more than usual and the paths are getting a little slippery. Thanks, Kumar, for your great contribution to the beauty and safety of Kauai's Hindu Monastery.

Sadhaka Nilakantha on the left speaks with Sadhaka Haranandinatha. The grounds team focused on some areas just outside Kadavul Hindu Temple today, and it must have gone well. Why do we say that? Notice the subtle SHAKA sign being shown by SadhakaÍs left hand! That's the Hawaiian sign that says everything is OK.

What a beautiful place for the adventures of childhood. He is gathering water from a small stream that flows through the valley known as the Path of the Tamil Saints.

Let's see. How do I do this? What if I fall in? It doesn't look that deep and mom is right beside me.

Now the family takes the water and offers it to the giant Narmada Lingam. All pilgrims take great joy in this oblation, following the ancient rites.

Mom and dad join too.

Standing on the raised plinth, and with other pilgrims watching and praying, they make their offering of water to Siva, chanting mantrams and seeking His blessings in life.

Speaking of life's blessings!

Meanwhile, Gurudeva has decorated his Mahogany Room desk with a lovely woven shawl from India and displays some gifts brought by devotees.

Welcome back to our Saravananathaswami! He just returned as we noted yesterday from a long and eventful journey to India, Bali and Malaysia. He is resting a bit, but with a bright look like that will no doubt be back at his work with Church members soon.

Vel Mahalingum does so many wonderful things around the property. Who would guess he owns several large business enterprises in his home country of Mauritius, and takes off from his considerable responsibilities to come to Kauai, to live and work with the monks, to be near his Gurudeva and to work on his inner sadhanas. What a great example for others to follow!
