A special Mahalo! Muchos Gracias!Mikka Nadri! Arigato! Merci Beaucoup! Thank You! to Dr. Tandavan who urged us to separate the English and Tamil from Gurudeva's upadeshas. As of today our sound deva, Sannyasin Kartikkeyanathaswami is digitally assembling Gurudeva's English talk and the Tamil translation into separate audio files. Thanks for guiding us push the envelope. This upgrade will speed download times, transcription time and upgrade our future audio libraries in both languages! and thanks also to the three souls who sent three excellent questions for future talk subjects. Keep it up, send your questions on important contemporary and spiritual issues to Gurudeva today!</H3>
Lots of good people came to visit us on this bright February morning. Here they are gathered near the entrance to our lava-rock-covered Kadavul Temple. Smile!
Mr. and Mrs. Ravindra and Charugita Shukla, now retired to Ahmedabad, India, came today. Before retiring to India, they spent over 20 years in the US and lived in Florida and studied with Yogi Hari and Ma Yoga Shakti. They had traveled to the US to be with their sons Assim and Sunil who are active members of the Hindu Student's Council in the US. The two young men are avid readers of Hinduism Today and urged their mother and father to go for a pilgrimage to Kauai. So they did and here they are meeting Gurudeva and having their books signed. They were active members of the South Florida Temple Society in Davies, Florida (between Miami and Ft. Lauderdale) which today is a flourishing 2 million dollar temple. They hope to return for a longer stay at the next opportunity.
Books, books and more books. It is so rewarding to see so many on the inner path toward their true Self, which is the within of all beings.
And more books...Such a delightful place for upadesha, under our giant 80-year-old mango tree (too bad it gives such sour mangos). But the talk and communion under the tree was sweet indeed. How often are we allowed to turn the mind toward That which is real, which is permanent, which is deathless and unchanging? All too seldom.
A special group came into the Ganapati Kulam publications building this morning, lead by the ever-radiant Keyleen Lowe, there in the purple sari next to Acharya Palaniswami. The others are yoga teacher, Myra, who teaches on Kauai (far right), and visitors to Kauai from Australia and Canada. they are here studying the ancient Hawaiian tradition from a spiritual master, Abraham Kahuna Kauai, who leads dynamic programs on Kauai.
Meanwhile, the work continues on the surcharge for our Iraivan Temple foundation. Looks like a pile of dirt, you say! It is a pile of dirt. An expensive pile.
Arumugaswami inspects the progress. They are up about six feet, and eight feet is their goal. Seven million pounds of earth, loaded atop the foundation. And today, at last, there was a small settlement when our Jeff Griffen measured it! Yes, 3/8ths of an inch. So, it is working as the engineers hoped it would.
This is one of Gurudeva's sishya, a local member of Saiva Siddhanta Church, Jothi Sendan, who happens to also be the president of the Kauai Tropical Flower Association. If ever you need an arrangement, he's your man. You can reach him at http://www.ktropicals.com/ or 1-888-473-6326. Overheard today at Kauai Aadheenam from elderly guests and elderly people on the phone:Elderly lady who came on pilgrimage with her three daughers: "My daughters laughed at me. But this place is wonderful. My time on earth is short. I fully intend to reincarnate here to study with Gurudeva and become a monk of this monastery." The same comment was heard on the phone from an 81-year-old Tamil man. Gurudeva's response on hearing this was:
"Our young families on the island are going to be pretty busy."

THANK YOU, GURUDEVA!
For those who have been touched spiritually by Gurudeva's work, his books, his guidance, his inspired life and example and even his website, the "Thank You, Gurudeva Fund" has been established within Hindu Heritage Endowment.
Proceeds from this fund are forever, not a one-time gift, so gifts to this fund have an eternal gratitude built into them. They live on, in perpetuity.
Each month Gurudeva receives the income from the fund, to be used at his own discretion to promote his work and mission around the globe. He loves this, for he knows that it comes from all the good souls who have met him and studied with him, or traveled or just talked with him, over the years. A contribution to this fund is tax-deductible.
