Gurudeva with his Ekadanta Kulam staff, (his secretaries for student and membership) Sannyasin Saravananathaswami (back left) and Sannyasin Shanmuganathaswami. Look, it's a movie! Our video department is getting geared up and we are now able to get video clips easily from our tapes into digital files. Here is a lovely clip from recent Jayanthi celebrations, when, after the Pada Puja, devotees came forward to prostration and receive vibhuti from Gurudeva. Satguru SpeaksTitle: Hindu Gods and Vishva Guru

Guests today, Ashok and Pranita Jain, from Chicago, their little daughter is interested in making friends with our big white cat Elehe. In the middle is Ameya Muzumdar, 19, also from Chicago. He is going to stay on the island for 10 days and come to the monastery everyday to participate in our seva and get to know the monks. Brahmachari Devasiva Veylan has moved from the business department (the Pillyar Kulam) to serve with the publications team (the Ganapati Kulam )Here he is setting up his new station which will be an iMac. The final hours of the next issue of Hinduism Today keep our production manager, Sivakatirswami on his toes. Here he and Kartikkeyanathaswami look over the details for a sales brochure for Weaver's Wisdom which will print on the same press and at the same time as the cover of Hinduism Today. Acharya Ceyonswami and Sadhaka Thondunatha sit and chat with our pilgrim/sevak guest Ameya. Ameya looks very bright. Nineteen, he's a sophomore in medical school. Brahmachari Panshula is now serving for a month in the Ekadanta Kulam. He just helped with a big mailing to all our book readers subscribers and other contacts on the mainland to inform them of Gurudeva's book signing dates and inviting everyone to come see Gurudeva before and after the Caribbean Innersearch in Florida and California..
Sadhaka Japendranatha sits at the newly created counter in the room we call "Kopi Kadai" or the "coffee shop" . . .the monastic dining area just outside the kitchen. A spiritual tour group came to the Aadheenam. Lately we seem to be getting these nearly every day. This is Harry Seetaran and his family. They are Guyanese Hindus now living in Hollis, New York. The Hindus from the Caribbean we always find to be so enthusiastic and committed to their Hindu culture. One of the effects of the earily diaspora of Indians who left India in the 1700's and early 1800's is that they were never exposed to the propaganda of the English in India where Indian intellectuals were deliberately taught to look down on their Hindu heritage and to become inculcated with western values and lifestyle. So, while many Hindus from India are embarrassed to dress like Hindus, by contrast Caribbean Hindus are often more likely to be found proudly sporting their Hindu culture and running dynamic Hindu mandirs. Sadhaka Jivanandanatha works on the May-June issue of Hinduism Today. Our new bimonthly format is 86 pages and WOW does the magazine have a super substantial feel to it. You will all be impressed, especially with the fantastic article from Kanya Kumar of the incredible stone statue of Saint Tiruvalluvar, and our beloved Ganapathi Sthapati's life story. A beautiful Lord Nataraja statue carved in wood adorns the publications office. Sivakumar from Singapore Natarajanathaswami our art director. Acharya Kumarswami putting the final touches on some May June issue articles. Weaver's Wisdom sales brochures are being prepared and will be mailed to thousands across the nation. Shanti, our publications office mascot. She has decided to live here virtually all the time and will get him high on top of someone's monitor and survey everything as she prepares for yet another long nap. Sadhaka Japendranatha working on computer matters. he has been very busy lately with our change over to G4's and upgrading the whole monastery to a switched 100 base-t network. Erasenthiran has been helping Acharya Palaniswami get all the study materials together for the coming Innersearch. Luggage tags, booklets and study guides for all the innersearchers. Yesterday Gurudeva met at the Kilohana Mansion with various key people in the Kauai Tourism industry. Sadhaka Dandapani makes a presentation on the Visit Kauai Aloha Year 2002 concept which seeks to bring focus and dynamism to a proposal to bring many visitors for a special year of events on Kauai every four years. Sadhaka presents testimonies from Malaysia and Australia which made a big success of this kind of promotion. From the grounds of the Kilohana Mansion, we have a lovely vista of the interior of the island. SIGN OUR GUESTBOOK AND RECEIVE A FREE GIFT Click here to sign the Guestbook and we will send you a free issue of our global full-color bi-monthly magazine, Hinduism Today. THANK YOU, GURUDEVA! For those who have been touched spiritually by Gurudeva's work, his books, his guidance, his inspired life and example and even his website, the "Thank You, Gurudeva Fund" has been established within Hindu Heritage Endowment. Proceeds from this fund are forever, not a one-time gift, so gifts to this fund have an eternal gratitude built into them. They live on, in perpetuity. Each month Gurudeva receives the income from the fund, to be used at his own discretion to promote his work and mission around the globe. He loves this, for he knows that it comes from all the good souls who have met him and studied with him, or traveled or just talked with him, over the years. A contribution to this fund is tax-deductible.
