A lovely Sun 1 on Kauai, with a morning homa and a short pilgrimage by monks and members to the Iraivan Temple site, where Gurudeva blessed all present by sprinkling them with the sacred waters from the kumbha, shown here with his hand in the pot.

We have a special announcement for TAKA visitors today. After months of hard work, a small team of servants of Lord Siva have completed bringing all of Gurudeva's Cybertalks to the site in a special place:

Today's homa was especially a blessing for the family enterprise of the Veylans in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Here Saravan Veylan (far right) and his brother Devasiva chant and add the traditional nine grains into the fire.

They also offered special items at the height of the deremony, lead by Gurudeva.

The parade begins . . .

Guhanathaswami watches the sky for signs of rain. But the devas have held the clouds at bay.

Our large task force (those who come to serve wherever needed) and new young upakurvana (young men who come to live as resident guests to experience monastic life and have special training by going through our five different monastic schools over a six month period) has swelled our humble monastic ranks to 33 residents!

Sivakumar (in front) is from Singapore.

The Iraivan foundation looks magnificent with all the form boards removed.

Gurudeva presides over the weekly "charging of the Iraivan Temple," with the sacred waters that were blessed at the homa in Kadavul Siva temple.

We circumnabulate the foundation.

The morning sun breaks over the group, rising up from the Wailua Bay, finally reaching above the tree to cast a rich, yellow glow over our Moksha Temple site nestled in the lush foothills of the Waialeale Mountain.

Natyam Tyaganatha "manages" the puja with confident expertise.

Gurudeva pours the sacred water on the holy spot where the Giant Crystal Siva Lingam will one day soon make its home--a beacon of spiritual power for beings of all Three Worlds.

Gurudeva turns to look at the group with a sparkle in his eye and a dramatic flare:

"Who do I see? I see a group of temple builders! So, let's all help me drag these coconut fronds up here onto the foundation. Professor Mehta has asked us to protect it some more from the sun."

Everyone laughs and all the men and boys "go for it," including Gurudeva himself.

Yogi Yuganatha is happy to get all the help. Otherwise the task of cover the foundation would have fallen on his small team.

Twenty minutes of work and all the material we had was in place.

Then we all parade back to the monastery.

This last photo comes to us from our carving site in Bangalore, India, where Thai Pongal was recently celebrated. This is the January festival where the first rice crop is cooked in a big pot outdoors and when the froth boils over the side, omens are noted for the year ahead.

Note the Rajasankara family and workers, all sending you greetings for your own year of abundance!

THANK YOU, GURUDEVA!

For those who have been touched spiritually by Gurudeva's work, his books, his guidance, his inspired life and example and even his website, the "Thank You, Gurudeva Fund" has been established within Hindu Heritage Endowment.

Proceeds from this fund are forever, not a one-time gift, so gifts to this fund have an eternal gratitude built into them. They live on, in perpetuity.

Each month Gurudeva receives the income from the fund, to be used at his own discretion to promote his work and mission around the globe. He loves this, for he knows that it comes from all the good souls who have met him and studied with him, or traveled or just talked with him, over the years. A contribution to this fund is tax-deductible.
