Satguru Speaks

Cybertalk: Gurudeva concludes his Sivaratri upadesha by expounding upon the "only real security," the depth of Siva consciousness, never changing, always there. And Gurudeva gives an amusing analogy of devotees on the path to fish caught on a hook, with Siva as the fisherman. Title: Sivaratri 2000, part 5, conclusion

A lovely group of souls came to the Feet of Lord Shiva.

Surina Mohr, she has known Gurudeva since she was a little girl and now her children have the good karma to be on Kauai.

Gurudeva answered questions from Cyberspace Cadets today during his Sun Five Upadesha.

Giving directions to guests on how to get to our Rudraksha forest . . .

Feature story today is on Brahmachari Tejadeva. He is our new book sales manager and has taken over the big task that was handled by Sadhaka Haranandinatha who is now on mission in Mauritius.

Tejadeva is doing a great job. Every day he posts all the mail, handles our retail mail orders, orders from books stores, and our "Mini Mela Gift Shop" sales to our visitors.

Tejadeva is responsible for the "HAP container" is a large container that was renovated as our Himalayan Academy Publications storage facility and mail room.

Here he is posting the daily mail.

This is no small task as packages and letters will be going out to places all over the world and he has to keep track of all the postal expenses, make sure they are applied to the right budgets and keep up-to-date with the latest internaional postal rates and requirements for all kinds of different packages.

Here he is in the Mini-Mela Gift shop.

Would you like something? A book perhaps?

Tejadeva also took responsibility for EEREH the office mascot cat who he now feeds and cares for.

Tejadeva has a busy life on the phone as he fields calls from book distributors, bookstores and individuals ordering books from all over the country.

A large delivery of grains, seeds, legumes arrives.

As we enter the warm season rains may stay away for days at a time, our irrigation system goes to work, pumping water from an irrigation channel "Narmada Stream" that flows from a nearby reservoir. This reservoir and the water that flows to us from that channel is one of the "life lines" of the Aadheenam.

Two of our sevaks at work in the garden

This is our fully mulched garden. We spend less then 10 minutes a week weeding. Try it yourself!

In the garden we keep a small shring to Lord Ganesha

The timing of our fruit tree pruning this year was good, we finish most of it during the cool, wet winter time. Meanwhile, it rained continuously off and on daily for nearly four months. The earth and the trees were all primed and when the warm sunny weather hit, the trees "went crazy" with blossoms.

Some of our small orange tree have reached their first year of real maturity and are loaded with hundreds of blossoms. This "fruit set" is the biggest we have had in years. But o night of raging winds and everything gets blown off. So everyone now prays that the "Maha Tropical Storm Winds" will stay away at least for another month while the delicate early buds and tiny fruits firm up their stems.

Picking papayas from on high with a pole fruit picker.

Devasiva helps Sadhaka Thondunatha photo copying materials for a San Marga mailing.

Here he works on labels as part of a job to help Sannyasin Karrtikeyanathaswami catalog our growing library of Gurudeva's talks on DAT (Digital Audio Tape).
