More bright pilgrims today on the left Mr. Shiva Ayyadurai and his friend. They are from Massachusetts. On the far right, Jeya Mani and Rani Shanmugam from Perth, Australia. Sitting next to Gurudeva on both sides the Tanuku family.
Cybertalk: Today Gurudeva briefly answers a question from Singapore and one from Johor Bahru, Malayasia. The questions are on how to get a grip on ones life and where to direct our prayers. Gurudeva invites these e-devotees to meet him in person when he visits both countries next week.
Do you have questions for Gurudeva? A detailed index of past inspired talks is available here. Transcription of One of Gurudeva's CyberTalks May 16 2000 Title: Who Invented the Gods? Category: God and Lords of Dharma Duration: 1 min, 31 seconds Here is a question from a cyber-space devotee in Singapore: "We worship one God but the Hindus have invented many other Gods one for each department of life, why is this?" There is a one human race but there many people that make up that one human race. There are many people in the Antarloka, waiting to reincarnate and there are many, many Gods in the Brahamaloka, Sivaloka who live there, who do not have to reincarnate. The Hindu has become acquainted with many of these Gods, that fulfill various functions in their life. They have a direct line of communication to them. It is true that there is a one God that permeates the entire universe and even all the other Gods and all the people waiting to reincarnate and all the humans and that is Shivam. The Hindus did not invent, dream up, nor are these Gods a figment of their imagination. They are real live, living Beings who have no need for physical body, who can see us and help us. Only those that are psychically awakened, clairvoyantly awakened see them. On the left Krishna RaoTanuku and his wife Aruna Sri and their two daughers on the right, Depti and Manasa. They have a home in Bangalore and also in New Jersey. Mrs. Raman Bhai Patel, her sister and daughter returned to the temple today and visited the publications offices. Here they are at the desk of Hinduism Today staff member Sannyasin Kartikkeyanathaswami. More images from our Sun One homa. Our continuing renovations included a recent complete overhaul of another room into which we moved our small but specialized sound studio. As always, upon completion of a new work space we have a blessing performed. The team took the opportunity to make the interior of the roof a perfect sound chamber. This involved mounting thick foam on all the walls to absorb sound and putting up some hard, irregular shaped objects that would still reflect sound without generating any unusual sound patterns. What better objects than beautiful wood carvings of the Deities! Lord Ganesha is mounted on the right side of the door as you enter and received a puja to inaugurate the room. Gurudeva breaks a coconut on the entry way and the new "Nada Guha" sound studio is officially open Golden Gate mission members and students gather for a mission satsang. Golden Gate mission ladies: Seated left to right: Devi Param, Bhavani Param, Punita Ajaya (student), Sundari Katir, Chandra Sankara. In the chair: Valli Sendan, Savitri Palani and Gayatri Rajan. Himalayan Academy students Devika and Yatrika Ajaya followed by Kulapati Easan Katir. Titanic Temple Magic at the Maha Ganapati Temple in Edmonton Canada Gurudeva will be leaving July 3rd for a temple and book-signing tour through Seattle, USA, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver in Western Canada. The tour is largely sponsored by the Maha Ganapati Society Temple of Edmonton, Canada, who are bringing Gurudeva to Edmonton July 6-8th as the preeminent guest and presiding spiritual leader for the temple's Kumbhabhishekam ceremonies. This consecration ceremony is among the most powerful in Hinduism, serving to charge the temple's power and inner connection to the superconscious universe of the Sivaloka and the Gods. Gurudeva is very pleased to be attending the Society Temple's event, and looks forward to being with all the Hindus in Edmonton. Fabulous Book-signing Event Coming Up in Edmonton, Canada While he is in Edmonton, Gurudeva will be holding a book-signing hosted by the venerable Ascendant Books in the High Street District of town: #105, 10310 - 124th St. The book-signing will be from 1pm-3pm in the afternoon on Saturday, July 8th. All spiritually-minded people in the greater Edmonton and outlying towns are cordially invited to the event to buy a book, personally meet Gurudeva and have him sign your book. As a new addition to the book-signing experience, Gurudeva will give each book purchaser the pen that he uses to write his name and blessing in your book. It is Gurudeva's "healing" pen and is imbued with his pranic energy for helping you clear and heal subconscious conditions„the primary cause of physical and mental illness. Gurudeva will talk about how to use the pen before he begins the book signing, so be on time. The manager of Ascendant Books„Henriette„is thrilled about the upcoming event, and plans to have her store's cafe serve Ganesha-style sweet snacks from Gurudeva's book "Loving Ganesha." The titles featured at the book-signing will be "Merging with Siva," "Lemurian Scrolls," and "Loving Ganesha." Even if you have to drive a few hours, it will be a rewarding inner journey over the asphalt. We will announce the book-signings in Seattle, Calgary and Vancouver as soon as they are solidly booked. Contact Sivadevanathaswami at deva@hindu.org for more helpful information. To contact Henriette at the Ascendant Books, call 780-452-5372, henriette@sprint.ca. For those who have been touched spiritually by Gurudeva's work, his books, his guidance, his inspired life and example and even his website, the "Thank You, Gurudeva Fund" has been established within Hindu Heritage Endowment. Proceeds from this fund last forever; they're not a one-time gift. So gifts to this fund have eternal gratitude built into them. They live on in perpetuity. Each month Gurudeva receives the income from the fund to be used at his own discretion to promote his work and mission around the globe. He loves this, for he knows that it comes from all the good souls who have met him and studied with him, traveled with him or just talked with him over the years. A contribution to this fund is tax-deductible. |
