"Even after Self Realization is attained, the soul body continues to evolve in this and other worlds until it merges with the Primal Soul, as a drop of water merges with its source, the ocean. Yea, this is the destiny of all souls without exception. " --Gurudeva

Bodhinatha gave a wonderful talk on this past Sun One... stay tuned for it on TAKA... He continues on his daily editing work of various publications and training of the Pilliyar Kulam team, primarily Sadhaka Jivanandanatha and working with the Ekadanta kulam on the Master Course of Himalayan Academy.
In today's Kulam Report for this phase, Sannyasin Saravananathaswami, the talaivar of the Ekadanta Kulam told about the 19 new master course students in Mauritius and the development of Level Three of the correspondence course which Bodhinatha hopes to have ready before he leaves on innersearch.
Sadhaka Dandapani also in the Ekadanta Kulam shared with everyone his work on Innersearch. His office area is filled and thrilled with boxes and boxes of stuff that we will all start packing next phase. And surprise... another gentleman, even at this late stage says he finally managed to open up his schedule and wants to join us.
Meanwhile from Malaysia and India, lots of communications are also coming in about Bodhinatha's arrival, with many families asking to see him. We are expect major crowds at the public events.
Bodhinatha's Sun One Video. Most Recent update: September 12, 2003. Bodhinatha speaks on Ahimsa, noninjury, yama #1, which is noninjury in thought, word and deed. The law of karma decrees that it is wise not to harm or hurt others, for we will then receive harm and hurt in exchange in the future. 12 minutes, 29 seconds.
Well, this is not actually happening at Kauai Aadheenam, but we could not resist this greeting from Chidambaram Sendan in California as an opening shot for the beginning of 2004. This was our Pancha Ganapati greeting card from the Sendan family.
Another amazing greeting card from God Siva was this morning's incredible display by Varuna, Lord of the Waters. After several days of light drizzling, last night the heavens opened up with a torrential down pour that lasted throughout much of the night and early morning hours. By about 5:30 am the rains had subsided and the clouds rapidly moved off as the Dawn--Savitri cut across the island with the morning light, to reveal the rivers of water flowing down from Mount Waialeale.
Though we do see this from time to time throughout the year, it is always an awesome sight. Wonder-struck monks came out for the spectacular view.
The wettest spot on earth had a lot of draining to do.
From the heavens flowing down, down, down, rushing to find the ocean.
The water gage just one mile up the river above the monastery, on the our North fork of the Wailua River, peaked last night at 3 am with a flow of 1000 cubic feet of water per second! That's right, one thousand cubic feet of water per second.
Bhaskaram and Purnasasi from San Jose, California.
They too got to view the show on the mountain from our outdoor binoculars.
With these you can also take a close look at the temple from the main Aadheenam area.
Then off they went to see it first hand.
 Saiva Siddhanta Church Malaysia Mission

Kuala Lipis, Pahang State and though a bit far from the other members clustered in Kuala Lumpur and Klang area, Kulapati Ananda and his wife Kulamata Thamaraiveni have brought Gurudeva and Saiva Siddhanta Church to life in a small temple in their village.
Gurudeva's teachings are present around the room.
They have done a really great job preserving all the many things that the monks have printed and distributed through the years and taking a lead in the religious life of their small community. Congratulations to Ananda and Thamaraiveni!

Ok, up we go to the top, climbing a ladder to about 25 feet above the level of the foundation to find our silpis at work on the very beautiful course 22 of the vimanam.
It takes a special soul to do this work. Their efforts will last 1000 years or more.
Silpi Kumar always has an upbeat, cheerful attitude and goes about his work with dedication and enthusiasm. Still a bachelor, some lucky lady will catch him one day.
There is very little space now at the top to lay out the stones. The area is now small enough that a single stone can be used for each side of the inner wall.
The southwest corner of course 22.
The famed "nasi" (nose) figures at the top edges of this course.
Sthapati stands by while his team works on the careful fitting work.
The lower courses of the Vimanam, just above the roof of the temple.
The new tent structure provides shade from the sun, and now, in our Hawaiian winter (with temperatures dropping down to cool 60's in the morning... burrrr!) a wind break from what the silpis experience as chilly days.
Far below, helper Chinnu does a lot of the back up and supporting work for the team. The recent containers require a lot of uncrating work and clean up.
Here we see more pillars and now something new, the pieces to one of the side Chinna Gopurams (Small Entrance Towers)
2003 was a great year for Iraivan, incredible progress on all fronts. Gurudeva's vision and dream is developing beautifully, right on schedule. And 2004 looks brighter than ever!
