""I will be what I will to be. I will do what I will to do." You can repeat these two powerful affirmations over time and time again and thus rearrange, restructure, the forces of your subconscious mind and create a great inner peace within yourself."

Innersearch Asian Odyssey 2008 Retrospective

We continue our coverage of our 22-well bathing at Rameswaram during the 2008 Asian Odyssey with photos from the amazing eye of Thomas Kelly. Here's Thurai, Swapna, Neesha and Senthil from Bangalore, ready to take the plunge.

It's a sacred time for Innersearchers and everybody is deeply immersed in their worship.

Reflecting on the very unique temple bathing experience in the south of India. More common in the north with the presence of the holy Ganges river.

Even the young ones in the group are loving this experience.

Having completed the the first well, the bath in the ocean, the group is ready to go to the temple to begin the bathing at the remaining 21 wells.

The entire group is divided into smaller groups, each with their own monastic and local "bucketeer" so it is easy to navigate through the many temple passage ways.

It's often crowded in the temple and the "bucketeers" move very quickly from well to well. Therefore it is easier to move in smaller groups so one can keep track of his bucketeer.

Young and old come from across India and around the world to bathe at this jyotir linga site.

Off to the temple!

One of the bucketeer begins the process of well bathing for our group by offering the first bucket of sacred water from the first well over Bodhinatha.

Everyone watches as each member of the group is showered by the sacred water.

Ravi and Sheela Rahavendran.

The bucketeers have amazing balance standing on the very slippery ledge of each well to get the water.

Bodhinatha ready for the water from the next well.

Some wells are divided into two and water is gathered and offered from both sections.

The well bathing areas are packed with pilgrims.

We work hard to keep up with our bucketeer as he speed walks through the dark and damp corridors of the temple to the next well.
