Vedic Lifestyle

Today Gurudeva talks about the four sacrifices of Vedic life, to the Gods, to the ancestors, to the animals and to the community. He says many people are saying they want to "live the Vedic life," but how many are really willing to do it? Sacrifice means giving up, giving up in devotion to the Gods, honoring the ancestors, honoring the animals, not "eating every one of them," and be a producer and contributor to the community instead of a taker.

The Hindu religion brings to us the gift of tolerance that allows for different stages of worship, different and personal expressions of devotion and even different Gods to guide our life on this Earth.
