Caring for a Dying Dog

An e-devotee in Arizona asks about the proper way to care for an elderly dog. Gurudeva answers that a domesticated dog which has been in the family for a long time should be treated as a family member. Gurudeva advises not to "put the dog to sleep" as a way to "help with the pain."

A home is a place that's so magnetic that it's difficult to leave. In a home there is love, kindness, sharing and appreciation, and the inhabitants help one another. It's a place of selflessness and togetherness, where everybody has time for everybody else.
