Transliteration

Katravar vilungum katpaka kaniyai,
Karaiyilaa karunai maa kadalai.
Matravar ariyaa maanika malayai,
mathippavar mana mani vilakkai.
Setravar purangal setra em sivanaith,
thiru viili milalai viitri runtha.
Kotravan thannai kandu-kandu ullam kulira,
yenkan kulirn thanave.

Translation

The (all desire granting) kaRpaka fruit that is
intaken by those who have learnt (Its glory);

The Great ocean of grace that has no bounds;

The Mount of (precious) mANikka gem that is
not known to others;

The splendid lamp in the
mind of those who honor It;

Our Lord shiva
Who won the cities of the foes;

The King, Who resides in thiruvIzimizalai -

On seeing Him on
and on the heart becomes cool and so my eyes
also became cool (in enchantment).
